I'm Back!

Fri Oct 3, 2008, 6:16 AM
No, I am not back from China, sorry to disappoint you. I am back on deviant art after getting sidetracked away from artistic endeavors for a while. Because I haven't been on for a while, there are just sooooo many messages and art posted by my friends. I can't really go through all of it, but if there is anything specific you want me to see, let me know!

As for my own creations, soon I will be posting my latest comic idea. The idea is currently entitled, "The Laowei Chronicles". Laowei is Chinese for foreigner, and people constantly point at me and yell that word so it has been fused into my identity here. The main theme is that the "hero" of this comic becomes whatever people expect of her-- thus she becomes the stereotypical Laowei. It will reflect my own experiences traveling, living, and combating stereotypes of Americans in China. So I hope you guys enjoy it once its up, and if you don't, please be honest so I can improve the idea!

  • Mood: Bewildered
  • Listening to: The noise from the highway outside my window
  • Watching: A computer screen (of course)
  • Eating: Pear Cake (the best cake I've had in ages!)
  • Drinking: Coffee, of course! (Even though it's 10:30pm)
